Engakuji, Okinawa

I have a strange and interesting story with this place.

The first time I was here, I looked over the ruins and cried. I thought I was just sad to see something so important damaged by the war.

And then, I cried every time when I got back that same spot.

Even on the night I finished this, I cried a while looking at it.

You can say this became whey I started this series of Ryukyu RE-imagined.

Personally, the most beautiful story with this temple is, King Sho Shin had this temple built to enshrine his father the late King Sho En.

Past: Old photos of Engakuji.
Present: Currently pictures + Model.
